When I’m working in my home office, Zimry, my adorable Cavanese puppy, is usually snuggled at my feet.
I vividly remember when I first started working from home. I was so excited because it meant freedom, less commute time, and more time to do what I loved. I was lucky that I had a space to work in at the time, but I searched high and low for office furniture. I could not find furnishings that fit the aesthetic I wanted. This space was essential to me, and I wanted to feel special and empowered in my home office, but I ended up settling for a desk and credenza from a big box store. When we moved out of that house, we didn’t even move that furniture. We just left the desk and credenza there. I was not bringing that furniture to my new home, no way!
After several years of running a successful, award-winning custom window treatments business in the North Dallas and Fort Worth area, I decided to start HQ Collections. I wanted to help work-from-home professionals complete their homes with beautifully curated home office design collections. My collections are for the selective homeowner seeking a high-quality and unique experience. Our advantage is that we carefully curate every item from furniture to area rugs, lighting, accessories, and more to create a cohesive look.
I love a significant challenge, and I felt it was the perfect marriage of my fashion and design background. I appreciate the principle of bright, light spaces with a thoughtful curation of objects that fill our home office spaces with pure enjoyment.
I am married to Wayne, and we have a 20-year old son, Garrett. We also have our two dogs, Ella and Zimry, who keep us entertained.
